This Privacy Policy explains how Mayer Nutrition LLC ("Mayer Nutrition," "we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and discloses personal information when you visit or make a purchase from mayernutrition.com (the "Site"). Our Site is hosted on Shopify.

1. Information we collect

Device and usage information. When you visit the Site, we automatically collect information about your device and how you use the Site, including browser type, IP address, time zone, referring site, pages viewed, and products clicked. We collect this through cookies, log files, and pixels or tags.

Order information. When you place or attempt to place an order, we collect your name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number, and payment information. Payment card details are processed by our payment providers and are not stored by us.

Account information. If you create an account, we collect your login credentials and any preferences you save.

Communications. If you email us, submit a review, or contact customer service, we collect the contents of that communication.

Marketing preferences. If you subscribe to marketing, we collect your email address and, where you have opted in separately, your mobile number. You can unsubscribe from email using the link in any marketing message, and from SMS by replying STOP.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

2. How we use your information

We use personal information to process and fulfill orders, manage subscriptions, provide customer service, send transactional messages such as order and shipping confirmations, screen for fraud and security risk, understand and improve how the Site performs, and send marketing communications where you have opted in.

3. How we share your information

We share personal information with service providers who perform functions on our behalf:

  • Shopify, which hosts the Site and processes orders and payments
  • Payment providers, including wallet services such as Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal where offered
  • Klaviyo, which powers our email and SMS marketing
  • Appstle, which manages subscriptions
  • Okendo, which collects and displays product reviews
  • Shipping carriers and fulfillment partners, to deliver your order
  • Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, to measure Site performance and advertising

We may also disclose personal information to comply with applicable law, to respond to lawful requests from government or law enforcement, to enforce our Terms, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We do not sell personal information for money. Some of the advertising and analytics technologies described above may constitute "selling" or "sharing" under certain state privacy laws, which is addressed in Section 5.

4. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the Site functioning, remember your cart and preferences, and measure traffic.

Google Analytics collects information about which pages you visit, how long you stay, and where you arrived from. You can opt out using Google's browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Google's own privacy policy is at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies. Blocking them may break parts of the Site, including checkout.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request that we correct or delete it, receive a portable copy, withdraw consent to marketing, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

If you visit the Site with a Global Privacy Control signal enabled, we treat that as an opt-out request for the browser and device you are using.

To make a request, email hello@mayernutrition.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting. You may use an authorized agent, in which case we will ask for proof of authorization.

If you are in the UK or European Economic Area, you may also object to or request restriction of processing, and you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Where we transfer personal information out of the UK or EEA, we rely on recognized transfer mechanisms such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. Data retention and security

We retain personal information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described here, including to maintain your account, complete transactions, meet tax and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion at any time, subject to information we are required to keep.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive information to us over unsecured channels.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. We will post the revised version here and update the date above.
